A man in Sweden was charged with a hate crime for commenting on a video where a Muslim immigrant aggressively threatened to “Take Over Your F***ing Country [Sweden].”
The 53-year-old man voiced his politically incorrect opinion on a Facebook group called ‘Political Facts’ where he wrote: “Disgusting Arab crabs disappear from here.”
The post the Sweden man was referring to was an angry rant posted by a migrant to Facebook, where the migrant said: “We Arabs are here to take over your f**king country so go down on your f**king knees and suck my c*ck your Swedish little whore.”
According to Summit News, the man was sentenced by Kristianstad’s district court for hate speech against a protected group and forced to pay SEK 22,200, approximately $2,300 USD.
The court determined that the Swedish man’s comments were aimed at Arabs and not just at the individual, thus constituting a hate crime rather than an individual insult.
The man attempted to appeal the decision to the High Court, but it was upheld.
The fine was later reduced to SEK 16,200 (approximately $1,700 USD) in addition to further SEK 800 ($84 USD) he was asked to pay to the Crime Victims Fund.
Earlier this year, a Swedish man was fined for Facebook posts he didn’t make. The man ran a popular politically incorrect Facebook group and was urged to delete posts on his group which the authorities considered to be ‘hate speech.’
National File reported:
However, they’re now punishing social media users for hosting wrongthink, when a Facebook group administrator was fined for failing to delete posts he didn’t make.
Peter Markström, an administrator for the group, “Stå Upp För Sverige” (Stand Up For Sweden), was fined for not removing eight posts deemed by a Swedish court to be ‘grossly offensive comments.’
In another similar incident, a 65-year-old woman was put on trial for ‘hate speech’ after suggesting that mass immigration would lower the country’s IQ.
A 91-year-old man was convicted of ‘hate speech’ for making disparaging remarks about Muslims on social media.
