J.K. Rowling author has been subject of controversy, this time, over politically incorrect remarks concerning transgender individuals.
The controversy arose after Rowling’s opinion piece in a tweet introduced with the caption: “‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud? Opinion: Creating a more equal post-COVID-19 world for people who menstruate.”

The immediate backlash from the tweet involved tweeters accusing Rowling of transphobia and of being a TERF–a trans-exclusionary radical feminist.
Many of those commenting beneath her original post argued that men could menstruate and that her words excluded non-binary people.
Some pointed out that it was 2020 and now males can menstruate.
Other commenters took it a step further and called the Scottish author a “Nazi” for her politically incorrect remarks.

You can’t support BLM if that doesn’t also include black trans men and women. Fuck you, you gender nazi.

One angered tweeter went a step further and accused Rowling of plagiarism.
They wrote: “In full context, it seems as though the word you’re looking for to describe transmen is “Mudblood”, you Nazi f***.
“Imagine learning absolutely nothing at all about the books you “wrote.” Yeah, at this point, I’m convinced you stole manuscripts from someone with real talent.”

Another tweeter accused Rowling, despite her track record as a staunch progressive, of being racist.
“Listen @jk_rowling is an absolute disgusting racist. The moment she got money and fame she took a s*** on the most repressed members of our world She’s a f***ing nazi and her choice to double down on this day isn’t a mistake. SHES A F***ING NAZI,” they wrote.

The internet outrage mob continues to strikingly resemble a Titania McGrath satirical tweet as the lines between insanity and conformity remain blurred.
