A Florida man who stole almost a quarter of a million dollars from his family to finance his extreme pornography addiction murdered his family when they tried to intervene in his vice and phony relationship with a Bulgarian cam girl.
Grant Amato, 29, lived with his parents at their home just outside Orlando, Florida, after his life began to disintegrate. He had lost his job, his school course, and was living at home when he developed his porn addiction–ultimately costing three lives.
According to Straits Times, Grant had stolen over $200,000 from his despairing family before dumping the eye-watering sum of money on an unidentified Balkan eGirl in merely three months.
Grant swindled his parents out of $150,000; his brother Cody had lost $60,000 and had his guns stolen before being pawned off; and then he took a $65,000 loan out on his parents’ home.
The family became aware as to where the money was being spent. As a result, he was sent away for treatment to rid him of his expensive habit.
Cody, 31, expressed concerns about Grant’s potentially murderous intentions after he was admitted to rehabilitation for his pornography addiction, confiding in his girlfriend that his problematic brother might snap.
Sadly, Cody’s concerns were validated when his body was discovered murdered execution-style alongside his parents Chad, 59, Margaret, 61, on January 25, last year.
Grant faced first-degree murder charges for the triple homicide. His attorney acknowledged his client’s state of ill mental health, telling reporters: “I think we have some mental health issues.”
After the troubled Grant failed to complete a 60-day rehab, his father presented him with a 2-page list of rules he had to adhere to if he wished to continue living with his parents–one of the rules included terminating the relationship he had with the Bulgarian Cam Girl.
But he continued his relationship with the woman via Twitter.
At the time of the arrest, Grant denied the charges and said he had been kicked out of the house during the murders.
Recently, internet memes mocking “simps” and OnlyFans influencers have gained significant popularity and traction. One man, in fact, went undercover as a “simp,” paying for influencers’ nude content before leaking the explicit images to their parents.
Another woman broke down after her OnlyFans income was jeopardized by joblessness and saturation of supply for OnlyFans influencers amid the global pandemic.
