President Joe Biden’s first press conference consisted of multiple moments where he made no sense, adding to growing concerns over his mental fitness for office.
Just four minutes in, Biden said “And the other thing we’re doing, I might add,” then cut himself off. “Am I giving you too long of an answer? Because if you don’t want the detail …” muttered Biden. “I don’t know how much detail you want about immigration,” he added “Maybe I’ll stop there.”
In one instance, when asked about ending the filibuster, Biden said “I’m going to say something outrageous,” then promptly forgot what he was saying. “So, the best way to get something done, if you, if you hold near and dear to you that you uh, um, like to be able to uh, anyway,” said the President.

Another puzzling moment occurred when Biden falsely claimed that he came to the US Senate 120 years ago. “With regard to the filibuster, I believe we should go back to a position of the filibuster that existed just when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago,” said Biden.
Americans were left scratching their heads when Biden proceeded to blindly ramble during the press conference.

“What are we doing? And by the way, we can put as many pipefitters and miners (inaudible) to work capping those wells, at the same price that they would charge to dig those wells” said Biden. “So, I just find it um, frustrating, frustrating, talking about. Last point I’ll make in the infrastructure, and I apologize for, spending more time on it but, is that, if you think about it, um,” said Biden.
Biden also decried GOP efforts to restore election integrity, calling election security measures “un-American” and “sick,” adding that it “makes Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.”

The President abruptly changed his tone of voice in a strange moment when discussing unions around 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 15 seconds into the press conference. “They built America, and unions built them,” yelled Biden. “The third reason I said I was running, was to unite the country,” continued Biden in a softer tone.
Biden also randomly said “Folks, I’m going,” and walked away from the podium without a mask on after taking questions from a predetermined list of ten reporters.

When a reporter asked a softball question about North Korea, Biden read the entire answer off of a note card, as National File reported.

Biden approached the podium with a statement about his plan to administer more COVID vaccines to the American population. However, questions about election integrity, the border crisis, North Korea, and China were clearly the main focus of the press conference.
Given mounting concerns over the President’s apparent rapid cognitive decline, Americans are curious to see how the President would do under normal, traditional press conference circumstances. Unlike Biden, former President Donald Trump would walk out to a room full of loud shouting reporters as he answered biased and unfair, hardball questions, relaying his messages to the American people unscripted and in real-time.
