A prominent cartoonist and political influencer has changed his narrative on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Scott Adams, the creator of the “Dilbert” comic strip, said in a youtube video Saturday that COVID vaccine skeptics “appear to be right.”

Adams recognized the non-vaccinated’s natural immunity as a viable protection against COVID-19. “Somebody who did not get vaccinated, got a little ‘omicron’ or maybe even a worse [strain] but recovered, now you’ve got natural immunity, can we all agree that that was the winning path,” Adams encouraged.

“I want you to hear that clearly: the anti-vax people appear to be the winners. The anti-vaxxers clearly are the winners at this point, and I think it’ll probably stay that way. And I don’t want to put any shade on that whatsoever. They came out the best. They have the winning position. The unvaccinated have a current advantage, because they feel better.”

Adams said unvaccinated don’t need to worry about “what I have to worry about, which is, ‘I wonder if that vaccination, five years from now…'” he began saying before abruptly pausing.

The Dilbert creator cited distrust in the government and “big companies” as the driving force between COVID-19 vaccine skeptics’ decisions. “So, if you just took the position, ‘let’s just distrust everything the government did,’ you won!” he said.

On a Twitter post advertising his video, Adams said bluntly, “The anti-vaxxers won. I lost.”

One Twitter user, Andy Swan, criticized Adams for referring to COVID-19 vaccine skeptics of being “antivaxxers.”

“The fact that @ScottAdamsSay still refers to us as “antivaxxers” — despite knowing that the vast majority of us support actual vaccines and had no hesitation in giving our children actual vaccines — indicates that he is still caught in the propaganda vortex. Sad.”
