Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who made national headlines after using a firearm to defend himself from left-wing rioters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is coming out against the gun-grabbing agenda being rolled out in DC ahead of November’s midterm elections, crediting the 2nd Amendment with saving his life in a recent Tweet.
“The second amendment saved my life,” Rittenhouse wrote in the Tweet, going on to say that “EVERYONE deserves the right to protect themselves.”

Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty by a jury of his peers in the shooting deaths of left-wing rioters Joseph Rosenbaum – a convicted pedophile – and Anthony Huber. Rosenbaum was part of a large mob that chased the young Rittenhouse through the streets, lobbing Molotov cocktails at him during portions of the chase. Witnesses testified at trial that Rosenbaum ultimately attempted to take Rittenhouse’s gun, and threatened to shoot him with it once he did, leading to a life-or-death struggle that led to Rosenbaum’s shooting.
Shortly thereafter, when Rittenhouse fell to the ground in the middle of a city street as he tried to escape the rioters who wanted to kill him, Anthony Huber used a skateboard in an attempt to deliver a lethal blow to Rittenhouse’s head, prompting the teenager to narrowly escape death by shooting the rioter.
Seconds later, Rittenhouse was forced to act in self-defense once more as he shot and wounded armed rioter Gaige Grosskreutz, who had drawn his own firearm and was preparing to shoot Rittenhouse, who was just 17 years old at the time, in the middle of the street.
Together with left-wing politicians and big tech, corporate media used the story to attack the 2nd Amendment rights of American citizens, painting Rittenhouse as the aggressor and telling Americans not to believe their own eyes, as the obvious defensive shootings were caught on tape.
After being found not guilty at trial, with the jury ruling that Rittenhouse had acted in self-defense, leftist politicians have doubled down on their anti-2nd Amendment talking points, with some even claiming that Americans don’t have the right to defend themselves from certain death. In the aftermath of the trial and in the wake of several lawsuits against those who went out of their way to defame him, Rittenhouse has become an icon in the 2nd Amendment community, and a “shining example,” according to one Twitter user, of the more than 70,000 defensive uses of firearms by American citizens per year.
