The Liberal Democrats received over £300,000 in just over a year from Ferring, a drug firm that manufactures puberty blockers for “transgender” children.
The Liberal Democrats received a £100,000 donation from the puberty blocker manufacturer in the last month, and another £234,000 earlier in July 2018.
The total donations given by Ferring to the party since 2012 came to £1,454,258.27.
It should come as no surprise that the Lib Dems are pushing radical transgender ideology, and have been “ahead of the curve” on the issue.
In 2015, party members voted at their conference to remove the need for any “gender markers” in official government documents, as well as introducing the option for an “X” gender.
Under Jo Swinson, they are fighting this election on a policy of allowing anyone to identiy as they choose without the need for a medical opinion, recognising “non-binary” identities, introducing gender-neutral school uniforms, among other policies.
We will completely reform of the Gender Recognition Act, removing the requirement for medical reports, scrap the fee and recognise non-binary gender identities. #GenderRecognition #BrighterFuture #GE2019 @LibDems https://t.co/J4XWaoFlfw

Introduce an ‘X’ gender option on passports and extend equality law to cover gender identity and expression, ensuring a #BrighterFuture for everyone. #GenderRecognition #GE2019 @LibDems https://t.co/J4XWaoFlfw

Many Brits, including those who identify as gay or lesbian, were deeply concerned about the donation to the Lib Dems from someone with a stake in pushing puberty blockers on children.
Marcus Evans, who previously resigned from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, the organisation that runs and controls the only “gender identity service” for children in the UK, said the donation by Ferring was “worrying”:
Transgender people are vulnerable members of our society, but it seems to me that certain members of the trans community have got hold of the political agenda and their rights are being promoted at the expense of other people, such as vulnerable women.
Nicola Williams, of Fair Play for Women, said that “under Jo Swinson, the Lib Dems now have the most extreme trans-ideological position at a time when the other main parties are pausing to consider the impact on women and children.”

This position was echoed by many on social media:
Why is this an #LGBIssue? Because the vast majority of minors prescribed these experimental drugs would otherwise grow up LGB. Many young women are coming forward to say they regret transition. They realize now they were struggling with their lesbianism. https://t.co/Zze1JJLFuw

So joe Swinson doesn't mind the abuse of children just as long as the money's right

However, supporters of transgenderism were quick to dismiss the claims as a “paranoid conspiracy theory”:

A spokesman for the Liberal Democrats defended the donations, saying “Ferring is a long-standing supporter of the Liberal Democrats. Party policy is determined by members via working groups and at party conference.”
Ferring did not respond to a request for comment from National File.
