President Donald Trump roasted woke liberal SiriusXM radio host Howard Stern. Trump characterized Stern as being over the hill and past his prime.
“The real Howard Stern is a weak, pathetic, and disloyal guy, who lost his friends and MUCH of his audience,” President Trump explained on his website Truth Social. “Until just recently, I haven’t heard his name mentioned in years. I did his show many times in the good old days, and then he went Woke, and nobody cares about him any longer. I don’t know what they (really!) pay him, but it shouldn’t be much. His influence is gone, and without that, he’s got NOTHING – Just a broken weirdo, unattractive both inside and out, trying like hell to be relevant!”
Stern recently declared, “By the way, I kind of take that as a compliment, that I’m woke. I’ll tell you how I feel about it. To me the opposite of woke, is being asleep. And if woke means I can’t get behind Trump, which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender or I’m for the vaccine, dude call me woke as you fucking want.”
Howard Stern, once known as the bawdy and uncompromising “King of All Media,” has done a 180 degree turn in recent years and become a woke left-wing progressive scold. As such, Stern has lost relevance in the national dialogue. No longer the hero of blue collar workers and politically incorrect young men, Stern now lectures his audience and shills for Coronavirus needle injections.
Stern has repeatedly slammed President Donald Trump and supported crooked Democrat candidates Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. It is disappointing when a performer turns his or her back on the audience that made the performer famous in the first place. But obviously, with wealth and material success, Howard Stern has decided to become something totally different than what he used to be for radio listeners.
Trump used to routinely appear on the Stern show during Trump’s celebrated tenure as a New York City real estate mogul. However, since entering politics, Trump has become the enemy of many of the media celebrity friends that he once palled around with. Why? Because the media elites have contempt for the blue-collar Americans that Trump represents in the political arena. Thus, with Trump against him, it seems unlikely that Howard Stern will ever win back over many of the former fans who simply tuned him out. As Trump might say…Sad!
