President Donald J. Trump is celebrating his latest amazing accomplishment: coming back from political obstacles to win the Republican primaries for President of the United States of America in 2024. Like Andrew Jackson before him, Trump spent years running against his ex-opponent and he is now positioned to reclaim his former job if he keeps up the momentum.
As of press time, Trump has secured 1,241 delegates with his results in the Republican primaries and caucuses. That’s more than the 1,215 delegates required to become his party’s nominee. Neocon Nikki Haley has dropped out of the race. Trump can now be declared the presumptive Republican nominee in the race. However, we can also presume that the Republican establishment will keep trying to sabotage him, especially considering how the Deep State is railroading Trump with criminal prosecutions.
At this point, if the anti-populist neocons want to keep control, the Republican Party would have to actively betray Trump and pick a nominee who did not win the primaries, and it’s pretty clear that would be a disaster. Many Trump voters would likely stay home in November, which would either help Creepy Joe Biden or give a massive boost to independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In 2016, I reported extensively on how the pro-Ted Cruz wing tried to steal the Republican nomination away from Donald Trump by effectively stealing delegates. It’s a complex process. Is the GOP going to try to engage in that kind of fight against Trump in 2024?
It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but it’s becoming less likely now that pro-Trumpers are gaining more power in the GOP. Numerous RNC staffers recently got fired to clear the way for MAGA, and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump is now an RNC co-chair. But the RNC chairman Michael Whatley is a well-known Swamper, so the Swamp is definitely NOT giving up control of the party to America First populists just yet.

Trump delivered a video speech to his supporters, and clearly he is pretty happy about his status as the presumptive nominee.
