Audio emerged of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush bragging that his company does not hire ex-military old white guys. OceanGate’s sub has been stuck at the bottom of the ocean. OceanGate is the latest company that specializes in travel to hire pilots based on race, not qualifications. American Airlines recently admitted they hire pilots based on race and not qualifications, as well.
OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush made clear he does not hire white ex-military males saying, “When I started the business, I found that there are other sub operators out there, but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military submariners, and you will see a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys.”
Wow, The CEO of OceanGate hired people on race and not on qualifications. Race based hiring practices aren’t just wrong. They are dangerous too.

The United States Military is spending millions of dollars of American taxpayer money to locate the OceanGate sub that went missing. There might have been a different outcome if OceanGate hired their sub-pilots based on qualifications and skills instead of race and age.
Oceangate is not the first company to hire pilots based on race. In fact, Oceangate seems to be following a dangerous trend that American Airlines started.
American Airlines leadership recently said, “American Airlines makes no secret its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially as it pertains to pilot hiring.”
Before departing from Fox, Tucker Carlson did a story on an Amazon Airplane that crashed during landing at the Houston airport. Pilot error was the cause of the crash. Tucker revealed that the pilot flying the Amazon aircraft was hired strictly due to his race. Carlson also reported that the pilot failed all training courses, but Atlas Air, the company that flies the Amazon Planes, moved the pilot along anyway.
Clearly, the world is facing a major issue of unqualified individuals piloting travel vessels. If something drastic does not change soon, the world may experience a horrific disaster at an airport or port.
