Hunter Biden successfully lobbied the Obama administration to get appointments for family members and business partners, a new report reveals.
The National Pulse reports that Hunter Biden’s cousin, Missy Owens, emailed him to ask whether he had arranged for Eric Schwerin, a business associate of Hunter’s, to be appointed by President Obama to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
Subsequently, Missy Owens used this information to suggest that Hunter assist her or her mother, Valerie Owens, in acquiring an administration post.
“How did he/we find that one, and do you think we can find something for my mom?,” Missy wrote. “I wanted to do it, but [I] think Mom needs it more than I… what do you think?”
Hunter quickly replied, appearing to offer Missy and Valerie a similar deal to what Schwerin received.
“I didn’t know [Valerie] wanted to do that me of these,” Hunter replied, apparently suggesting he was unaware that Valerie wanted him to arrange an appointment for her.
He then admitted that Schwerin, a business partner of Hunter’s at the investment and advisory firm Rosemont Seneca, had requested and received an appointment through Hunter’s influence-peddling.
“Eric asked for one of these the day after the election in 2008,” Hunter said.
Hunter then urged Missy to identify positions that her or her mother would be interested in.
“You know better than me what are real and interesting appointments,” Hunter told Missy. “Let’s go through the list with [Chief of Staff to the Vice President] Steve [Richetti] and see what makes sense.”
Hunter then appeared to suggest that Missy and Valerie could benefit from “nepotism”.
“I don’t know how much 2016 and nepotism plays into it,” Hunter told Missy.
Months after the conversation, Valerie was nominated as Alternate Representative of the United States to the United Nations.
This report is just one of numerous revelations that have come out following the acquisition of Hunter Biden’s hard drive by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and the subsequent release of key information on it to media outlets. The hard drive contained explicit details of Biden’s active drug use and sexual indiscretions.
