Mossad, the widely-used moniker of the Israeli Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, trended on X shortly after a bombing in Iran left hundreds of people dead and wounded at a ceremony commemorating the fourth anniversary of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani’s death in a US drone strike.
Two explosions rocked Kerman, Iran as mourners marched toward the tomb of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in a January 3rd, 2020 drone strike ordered by 45th President Trump. Iranian media, quoting Iranian government officials, have dubbed the double bombing a “terrorist attack.”
With the situation still unfolding, Iranian officials and media, as well as aid workers with the Red Crescent, have been unable to give an exact death figure, but reports suggest that hundreds of Iranians have been killed or wounded.
While it’s currently unclear who’s behind the bombing in Iran, in the immediate aftermath of the attack, “Mossad” trended on X as the Israeli intelligence agency was widely blamed, both in Iran and around the world. The Mossad has long been known for international acts of sabotage up to and including terrorist-attack-style bombings, including previous strikes against Iran.
Interestingly enough, the bombing comes on the same day that a federal court is expected to release a list of names associated with Mossad-tied pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The bombing in Iran, which authorities say came in the form of twin bombs that were remotely detonated, occurs as the Middle East once again spirals into what could be an all-out war, with Israel and Hamas fighting in Gaza and hostilities growing between Israel and Lebanon-based Hezbollah.
Just days before the bombing in Iran, the Israelis assassinated senior Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri in Beirut, Lebanon by way of a precision airstrike.
Since the latest fight between Israel and Hamas began after the October 7th attacks, American and Israeli neo-con hardliners, as well as throughout the West, have called for attacks on Iran, a longtime backer of both Hamas and Hezbollah.
As National File reported on October 8th, 2023, neo-con GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley aggressively postured for war in both Gaza and Iran, telling Fox News; “I’ll say this to [Israeli] Prime Minister Netanyahu: Finish them. Finish them.“
“Hamas did this, you know Iran’s behind it. Finish them,” said Haley. “They should have hell to pay for what they’ve just done.”
