Democrat nominee Katie Hobbs has announced her official refusal to debate Trump-endorsed Kari Lake, as the two vie to become Arizona’s next Governor. Hobbs, who presided over Arizona’s fraud-ridden 2020 Election as Secretary of State, trails Lake in the polls, though the contest remains a close one.
In a letter written to Arizona’s Citizens Clean Elections Commission, the Katie Hobbs campaign cited Kari Lake’s election integrity activism in bowing out of the group’s Arizona General Election Debate and said she wouldn’t be taking the stage to debate against Lake anywhere else either.
As Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs was responsible for securing Arizona’s elections, and the discovery of massive Democrat fraud, proven by the Arizona audit, shows one of two things – either Hobbs is incompetent and failed in her most basic job duties, or she played an active role in stealing the state for Joe Biden.
“In the GOP primary debate, instead of talking about how she plans to move our state forward, Kari Lake brought almost every single answer back to lies about an election that happened almost two years ago” Nicole DeMont, the Hobbs campaign manager, wrote in a publicly available letter, officially bowing out of Arizona’s debates.
The Hobbs campaign claimed that because far-left late-night TV shows made fun of Arizona’s GOP debates, she is above appearing on stage with Kari Lake.
Instead of a debate format, Hobbs is demanding the Citizens Clean Elections Commission switches to a modified town hall, where she can be given scripted interview questions by PBS host Ted Simons. Under this format, Hobbs would avoid any contact with Lake, and avoid being held accountable to the voters in any real sense.
In addition to presiding over Arizona’s 2020 election madness, Hobbs has twice been convicted of racism and discrimination against her own employees, marking another issue Kari Lake says the Democrat is hiding from in ducking debates.
“Hobbs is so terrified that I might bring up the fact that she is a twice-convicted racist, and that her racism cost Arizona taxpayers nearly $3 million,” says Kari Lake.
“Katie, you can’t even sit in a chair next to [Ted Simons] and face me, yet you expect the people of Arizona to think you’d stand toe to toe with cartels? Coward,” Lake tweeted, blasting Hobbs for ducking debates.
The local news is covering your debate dodge, @katiehobbs.
Katie, You can't even sit in a chair next to @tedatpbs and face me, yet you expect the people of Arizona to think you'd stand toe to toe with the Cartels?

According to recent polling data, Kari Lake holds a close lead over Hobbs about two months ahead of Arizona’s election day, and things appear to be trending in Lake’s direction, as well as in the direction of fellow America First GOP candidates in the state.
During GOP primary season, Arizona’s voters led a historic rebuke of the uni-party political establishment, nominating a slew of Trump-endorsed candidates for office, including Blake Masters for US Senate and Mark Finchem for AZ Secretary of State.
