Podcaster Joe Rogan claims he refused to platform former President Donald Trump on his show multiple times.
Speaking on the “Lex Fridman Podcast” on Monday, Rogan explained how he was not a “Trump supporter in any way, shape or form.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once — I’ve said no, every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him,” Rogan told Fridman.

Rogan suggested Trump’s presidency was bad for America and will be viewed as “one of the weirder times” historically.
Rogan, who threw support towards a Ron Desantis 2024 presidential campaign last week, also called Trump and his supporters “an existential threat to democracy itself.”
“When people look back historically about the division in this country, he’s such a polarizing figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself,” the celebrity podcaster said.
Fridman pressured Rogan on his biased, anti-Trump comments. Fridman encouraged Rogan to platform Trump, regardless of his political views, because their conversation could be good.
“I think you’ll have him on. I think ultimately, I mean, you had, you’ve had a lot of people that I think you might, you may otherwise be skeptical. ‘Would I have a good conversation?’ Which I think is your metric, you don’t care about politics … And I think you had like Kanye (West) on, for example, and you had a great conversation with them.”
Rogan defended West’s appearance, despite his Republican views since “Kanye’s an artist.”
“Kanye doing well or not doing well, doesn’t change the course of our country,” added.
Trump supporters across social media criticized Rogan over his comments. Conservative rapper Bryson Gray suggested Rogan was being hypocritical.
“Joe Rogan, who I always viewed as a man who would talk to anybody, said he refuses to have Trump on his podcast. Which is weird, because he had Bernie sanders and tulsi Gabbard on his podcast.” Gray tweeted.

Another Trump supporter slammed Rogan for not platforming Trump, despite his history of inviting politicians onto his show.
“Trump is a former potus. Joe Rogan has had 10 politicians on his show. Not bringing Trump on Joe Rogans podcast has me losing all respect for Joe. I thought he was about having conversations. Never would’ve thunk Joe would be scared of cancel culture. SMH,” the individual remarked on Twitter.
