A New York jury rejected E. Jean Carroll’s lawsuit that accused Donald Trump of raping her. However, the jury did award Carroll millions of dollars in defamation damages.
Trump reacted to the verdict on TruthSocial, writing, “I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THIS WOMAN IS. THIS VERDICT IS A DISGRACE – A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!”
Many are questioning how Trump can be held liable for defamation against Ms. Carroll when a jury agrees with Trump that he did not rape her. “Anyone that uses this frivolous E. Jean Carroll case as an attack against Trump is a POS. A New York jury rejected the claim that he raped her but they sided with her when it came to “defamation.” The lawsuit was also funded by an Epstein loving, dem mega donor. Witch Hunt!” Alex Bruesewitz tweeted.

NationalFile reported that anti-Trump billionaire and DeSantis supporter, Reid Hoffman, paid a large portion of Carroll’s legal bills in the case. Hoffman has told associates that he wants to use DeSantis to stop Trump. Hoffman has also worked closely with Jeffrey Epstein. Hoffman is on record saying, “My last interaction with Epstein was in 2015. Still, by agreeing to participate in any fundraising activity where Epstein was present, I helped to repair his reputation and perpetuate injustice. For this, I am deeply regretful.”
Interestingly, following the jury’s decision, Team DeSantis social media influencers immediately began attacking Trump for being found guilty of defamation.

Many expect Trump to appeal today’s ruling. Others are encouraging Trump to sue E. Jean Carroll for defamation.
