Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has endorsed Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem’s race for Secretary of State of Arizona, the battleground state where current Secretary of State Katie Hobbes supported Democrat and billionaire-led “shadow campaign” to “fortify” the 2020 election and then vocally opposed election integrity initiatives and the Arizona Audit.
“Our country, and our state, need strong leaders. Proven fighters. Men and women with principles, and the will to fight for those principles,” wrote Gosar on Twitter today. “Mark Finchem is such a man. A veteran warrior in the political battlefield of today, @RealMarkFinchem has proven his word is good.” In a second tweet, Gosar added, “His talk is straight. He is the type of leader we need and I support him without hesitation to be our next Secretary of State in Arizona.”

After receiving Gosar’s endorsement, Finchem wrote, “I am honored to have the endorsement of Congressman Gosar. He is a staunch defender of America and conservative values.” He soon added, “Dr. Paul Gosar is a true champion of #AmericaFirst.”

Earlier this year and last year, current Secretary of State Katie Hobbes was accused of using her office to install Democrats and, later, to promote her own run for Governor of Arizona. “At this very moment, while the hand counting of ballots continue, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and legal action is imminent,” said Arizona GOP Chair Kelli Ward. “Arizona Secretary of State and political hack Katie Hobbes, who is campaigning for governor, has made her office – an official non partisan office of the people of Arizona – into ground zero for anti-audit forces. She’s using taxpayer dollars to do the Democrats dirty work: To launch lawsuits, and she’s even asked for unconstitutional federal intervention, federal monitors to enter Arizona.”
Finchem is running in a packed race that also includes Arizona Sen. Michelle Ugenti-Rita, who killed an election integrity bill put forward by fellow State Sen. Kelly Townsend. When Ugenti-Rita later appeared at a TPUSA event that featured Gosar, the mother of Ashli Babbitt, and President Donald Trump, she was booed off the stage and was later escorted out of the event by police.
