GOP cash cow WinRed is raising money on the back of President Trump’s persecution at the hands of Soros-aligned radicals, sending out emails to GOP voters asking them to sign a “pledge to save democracy” and donate directly to WinRed, which can then use the funds on whatever or whoever it pleases.
The WinRed email campaign is asking GOP voters and others on the group’s email list to send money to prove that they’re against the political persecution of President Trump while claiming that if donations aren’t made directly to WinRed, President Trump’s name might not appear on the 2024 ballot.
“It would be every MAGA-hating leftist’s dream come true,” the email reads.
“If we don’t step up now, the fate of our entire democracy will be decided by Trump-hating judges,” the WinRed fundraiser goes on to say.
“This may be the END of American freedom as we know it and the beginning of a dictatorship: Sign the pledge to save our democracy,” it goes on, before asking recipients to sign their name and make a financial donation to truly “pledge” their support to President Trump and American democracy.
The WinRed email, however, is incredibly misleading to many of its recipients, something that the GOP-aligned fundraising group has been criticized for on many occasions.
As the email states in the fine print, the fundraiser is “Paid for by WinRed [and] Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.”
In other words, donors are sending their money directly to WinRed, not to President Trump’s legal defense or even to his presidential campaign.
In fact, WinRed can do whatever it wants with the money once it receives it, including using it to fund GOP campaigns and causes at odds with President Trump and the America First agenda – something else that WinRed has been repeatedly accused of doing when sending misleading emails to Trump supporters.
