Two child migrants seeking asylum in France, under the guise of being underage, were later discovered to be a lot old than they pretended.
The two men who attempted to seeking asylum in Angoulême, south-west France, were revealed to be well into their adulthood.
One of the men was found out to be 21, while the other was at the ripe old age of 47.
The 47-year-old man, from Guinea, was caught when his fingerprints were lifted from a passport used to gain entry into Spain.
Angoulême’s regional department, Charente, has witnessed a surge in migrants over the past few years.
Some migrants claim to be children to obtain leniency during processing and preferential treatment.
Recently, in another department, containing the city of Dijon, 80% of child migrants turned out to be adults.
The city of Montpellier had a recent migrant scandal where Ivorians forged documents to assist their countrymen in seeking asylum in France as child migrants.
That particular scandal cost the taxpayer millions of Euros, according to Breitbart News.
Prosecutor of the Republic of Montpellier, Christophe Barret, commented on the deceit of the purported child migrants in Angoulême, saying, “Recently, an isolated minor supported by the county council of Hérault had said he was 17 years old. The department had doubts. Extensive verifications have formally confirmed that he was 32 years old, in fact.”
In Sweden, over 80% of child migrants were revealed to be adults.
Around 43% of child migrants in Germany were adults.
Several internet memes have been made mocking the frequency of very prematurely developed ‘child’ migrants.
