Kandiss Taylor, who recently launched a bid for Georgia’s GOP gubernatorial nomination, was “swatted” at her family home on Tuesday morning. Swatting is the act of calling in a bogus 911 call in hopes that armed police will respond to the target’s home. Multiple people have been shot and killed by responding officers as a result of the practice.
Taylor posted a video detailing the incident around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. “I just want everybody to know that I was just swatted. In my hometown, where I was born, and I grew up my whole life,” Kandiss Taylor said. “My children were woken up from their bed. Trauma doesn’t even begin to explain what just happened at my house. I have it all on video,” she continued.

According to Taylor, her local sheriff’s department received a call from a female text-to-voice program alleging that she had shot their husband multiple times and were going to shoot themselves. The America First candidate lives in Baxley, Georgia with her husband and two children aged 14 and 17.
“They came with all their weapons – rifles pointed at my house ready to shoot if they needed to kill me if I opened the door,” Taylor continued in the video.
The former gubernatorial hopeful was first alerted to the police presence by one of her sons. “I don’t care what political party you are – this is evil. This is not ok. And I will find out who swatted my house. And I will do everything in my power to bring them to justice,” Taylor said.
Taylor believes the TextNow app was used to target her family. “We will not waver or be afraid. Instead, I am calling for an investigation into TextNow, who is aiding and abetting Demonic Left Wing Extremists who are committing acts of terrorism against Christian Americans,” Taylor wrote.
