Former Capitol Police Officer Shauni Kerkhoff Linked to January 6 Pipe Bombs

A forensic investigation commissioned by Blaze News has identified former U.S. Capitol Police officer Shauni Rae Kerkhoff as a near-perfect match for the pipe bomb suspect involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill bombing, according to multiple intelligence sources.

Kerkhoff’s distinctive gait—a combination of her stride, slight limp, and walking pattern—was analyzed with software that produced a 94% match, while experts visually estimated the match to be as high as 98%.

Kerkhoff, who served over four years with the Capitol Police and later worked in campus security for the CIA, fits the profile gathered by investigators examining the hoodie-wearing pipe bomb suspect whose devices were planted near the Democratic National Committee and the Capitol Hill Club the night before the Capitol riot. Video evidence comparing her movements to those of the suspect has fueled suspicions of insider involvement in the bombs plot.

Former FBI Special Agent Kyle Seraphin told Blaze News that investigative teams aimed at capturing the pipe bomber were inexplicably pulled off the case shortly after being placed feet from the suspect’s residence in Falls Church, Virginia. Seraphin said, “The FBI put us one door away from the pipe bomber within days of January 6 and we were deliberately pulled away for no logical investigative reason. Everything about that tells me they were involved in a cover-up and have been since day one. They were f—ing in on it.”

Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund said he was unaware of any officer involvement in the bomb planting and found no authorization from the chief’s office for such actions.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has been vocal in questioning federal agencies’ handling of the pipe bomb investigation. On November 8, he tweeted, “America is waking up today to learn that Capitol Police turned CIA orchestrated the pipe bombs on January 6th, and the FBI has covered it up for over four years. I questioned FBI Dir. Wray, ATF Dir. Dettlebach, and FBI asst Dir. (over DC) D’Antuono under oath. All played dumb.”

Massie’s statement highlights growing congressional frustration with the apparent lack of progress and accountability, fueling speculation about official involvement and cover-ups in one of the most enduring mysteries related to the January 6 events.

The FBI, despite offering a $490,000 reward and extensive investigations, has yet to solve the pipe bomb case. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray described the probe as exhaustive but refused to provide details, citing an active investigation.

The possible identification of a Capitol Police insider as the suspect involved in planting pipe bombs shifts the narrative surrounding January 6, challenging the long-held depiction of the event solely as an external insurrection by supporters of then-President Trump.

The revelations have intensified demands for transparency and justice as millions continue to seek answers about the full scope of what happened that day, including potential federal complicity or negligence.
