Earlier today, former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis revealed that the RNC Chairwoman turned her back on President Donald Trump after the 2020 election, when – after Ellis and Rudy Giuliani received an email questioning why Republicans are supporting President Trump – Giuliani demanded the RNC’s top lawyer be fired for abandoning the 45th President. Now, GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has blocked Ellis on Twitter, and is refusing to engage with the accusations that she abandoned President Trump’s fight.
In a new book, the author details a tense exchange after the 2020 election when Ellis and Giuliani received an email from Republican National Committee (RNC) chief counsel Justin Reimer that questioned why they were helping President Trump’s legal battle to prove the credible accusations of widespread voter fraud following the 2020 election. In response, Giuliani exploded on Reimer, and demanded that he immediately resign or be fired. The email was described as being “akin to saying ‘f**k Trump’ and ‘f**k Giuliani.’”
After receiving the email, Giuliani apparently called Reimer and shouted, “Who the f**k do you think you are? How can you be going against the President? … You need to resign and resign tonight … because you are going to be fired.” He then called McDaniel to ensure Reimer would be fired. However, McDaniel – who is the niece of anti-Trump Sen. Mitt Romney – apparently refused to fire Reimer, and he remains in his role as the top lawyer for the RNC to this day. The RNC disputed this series of events, though Ellis confirmed their accuracy. McDaniel apparently blocked Ellis on Twitter rather than respond to Ellis’s accusations, leading to a series of tweets from Ellis and other pro-Trump Republicans questioning her behavior, her judgement, and whether she is loyal to President Trump and his America First agenda. “Update. I guess [McDaniel] doesn’t want to be confronted about the RNC lying,” wrote Ellis, attaching a screenshot showing that she has been blocked by McDaniel and the hashtag #RonnaMustGo.

When John Cardillo questioned, “If [McDaniel] didn’t direct RNC lawyers to stand down and surrender to Dems, she should immediately fire the lawyer who wrote the e mail. If she gave the order, she must resign,” Jenna responded that she and Giuliani were told Reimer would be fired. “She told [Rudy Giuliani], me, and the President should fire Justin Reimer,” wrote Ellis. “She didn’t. She lied then, and she’s lying now.”

Many have publicly sided with Ellis and commended her for standing up to the powerful Republican establishment insider. Arizona Sen. Wendy Rogers, who has become a Republican star due to her role in the Arizona Audit of the 2020 election, wrote, “I stand with [Jenna Ellis], [Rudy Giuliani], [Bernard Kerik], and President Trump. The RNC supports pride month and backstabbed the tens of millions of Trump voters during the election integrity fight.” She added, “Now Ronna is pretending to care about election integrity. We can do better!”
Scott Presler, the pro-Trump activist who has staged mass voter registrations and cleaning events in cities marred by violence from Antifa and Black Lives Matter, also expressed his support for Ellis, asking how he could assist her. Ellis replied, “Let’s get the truth out: the RNC is corrupt and full of self-interested liars. #RonnaMustGo”.

National File contacted the RNC to ask for a statement on the current situation. National File also asked the RNC whether it maintains that Ellis is lying, and why McDaniel blocked Ellis on Twitter. We did not receive a response in time for publication. McDaniel has not publicly addressed her decision to block Ellis or Ellis’s accusation that McDaniel is lying. Instead, McDaniel published a tweet standing in solidarity with Cuban protesters.
National File also asked how the RNC used its share of the $200 million or more raised following the November election, when it sent countless texts, emails, and other advertisements soliciting donations while promising to help President Trump fight what many believe was a stolen election. We did not receive a response in time for publication.
