The Treasurer of the College Republican National Committee (CRNC), Ty Seymour, has gone on yet another anti-Trump tirade on Twitter, suggesting that the President is “mentally ill” and racist.
Seymour linked a news report about how reduced black turnout benefited the 2016 Trump campaign, describing it as “depressing”, before accusing Republicans of “counting on the disillusionment” of racial minorities.
“I mean we all knew this,” Seymour wrote. “But it is always depressing to see Republicans counting on the disillusionment of black and people of color for their own success. It happened then. It’s happening now. It it will sadly continue on the path the GOP is on.”
Although he did not clarify what he meant by “the path the GOP is on”, in context, it appears clear that he is referring to the rise of President Trump’s national-populist movement within the party.
He then sent a follow-up tweet, apparently referring to Trump as a “mentally ill celebrity”.
“This includes trying to prop-up mentally ill celebrities,” he added. “Politics is just a game for some people.”
Shockingly, he then went on to accuse the President of racism, by claiming that Trump did not care about people “that look like us” – presumably referring to people of color.
“Friendly reminder Trump doesn’t care about people that look like us,” he continued. “My party curiously seems to only care when there is an election. Don’t be fooled.”

This far-fetched accusation appears to be the latest attempt by Seymour to abuse his position in order to sabotage the Republican presidential ticket just 10 weeks from the November elections.
The CRNC is the official student wing of the Republican Party, and is expected to support Republican nominees for office, including and especially President Donald Trump. As the Treasurer of the organization, Seymour controls its expenditures. As a 527 organization, the CRNC is allowed to engage in election-related political activity, and raises substantial funds for this purpose.

Despite routinely tweeting anti-Trump remarks in recent weeks and months, the CRNC has consistently stood by Seymour, refusing to acknowledge calls for his dismissal.
National File previously reported on Seymour’s open desire to see the end of the Trump presidency:
Seymour has vocally agitated against the President, retweeting a tweet by Rep. Justin Amash (L-MI) stating that “Donald Trump is a threat to our liberty, our Constitution and our rule of law.” Amash left the Republican Party last year in opposition to Trump, and has since joined the Libertarian Party.
Seymour also previously proclaimed support for the ‘Lincoln Project’, a political action committee dedicated to ousting Trump, which has endorsed Democratic Party presidential nominee Joe Biden.
In other tweets, Seymour mocks White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s claim that President Trump is “hard at work” as “laughable”, and describes Trump as the “divider-in-chief”.
