Former President Donald Trump took to social media to offer a tribute to Cayler Ellingson, a North Dakota teenager who was brutally murdered because of his right-wing political views.
Trump called Ellingson a “great Republican Patriot with an unlimited future ahead.”
“A deranged Democrat maniac who was angry that Cayler was a Republican” stalked Ellingson, who was walking back from a street dance event, and struck him with his SUV in an alleyway.
“The Media doesn’t want to cover this horrible event because of the politics involved. If it were a MAGA Republican that drove that truck, it would have been the biggest of all stories,” the former president continued, slamming the media for hypocrisy.
“We LOVE Cayler, AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET! Warmest condolences to Cayler’s family and friends,” Trump added on his post to Truth Social.
While speaking at a rally in North Carolina Friday night, the president again sounded off about Ellingson’s murder.
Cayler Ellingson “was targeted and killed, run down in cold blood with an SUV by a radical Left maniac. It was a radical Left stupid person.”
He was killed “simply because, he was a Republican and he was so proud of being a Republican, and this guy ran him down and not one mainstream media network has even mentioned this horrible crime…think of it the other way, supposing a MAGA person ran down somebody on the other side it would be the biggest story you’ve ever seen,” Trump added.
“It’s a disgrace, you people should be ashamed of yourselves,” Trump said while pointing at the media in attendance at the rally.

Republican Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) warned that “violent consequences” like Ellingson’s murder can be attributed to President Biden and other Democrat’s flagrant rhetoric about Conservatives.
“Words can have violent consequences. President Biden needs to realize that his vilification of his opponents is inflaming some of his supporters to violence. As a victim of political violence, both sides need to recognize the consequences of heated rhetoric,” Paul said in a statement sent to Fox News.
As National File previously reported, “this horrifying act of violence against this young Republican comes after elected Democrat politicians have spread rhetoric demonizing Conservatives and Republicans over the past few months.
Two weeks ago, President Joe Biden called MAGA Americans and Trump supporters extremists that threaten democracy.

Tim Ryan, the Ohio Democrat U.S. Senate candidate, also labeled Trump supporters “extremists” and made calls “to kill and confront that movement.”
