The United States Supreme Court ruled 6-3 on Thursday that Harvard University’s Affirmative Action program, which favored black applicants over white ones, is unconstitutional. The court ruling bans the racist practice known as affirmative action at all colleges and universities. Democrats began to threaten SCOTUS after the ruling. The Left’s actions towards SCOTUS have some concerns that the Left would not give up power if they lose to Trump in 2024.
Following Thursday’s ruling, Joe Biden described the United States Supreme Court as “not a normal court.” Biden’s attack on SCOTUS’ legitimacy echoes FDR’s threats to pack the Supreme Court.

Harvard University released a statement Thursday hinting at the fact that the institution will ignore SCOTUS’ ruling. Part of Harvard’s statement read, ” To prepare leaders for a complex world, Harvard must admit and educate a student body whose members reflect, and have lived, multiple facets of human experience. No part of what makes us who we are could ever be irrelevant.”
All 3 Trump-appointed Justices voted to strike down Affirmative Action. Donald Trump reacted to the ruling on TruthSocial by writing, “This is a great day for America. People with extraordinary ability and everything else necessary for success, including future greatness for our Country, are finally being rewarded. This is the ruling everyone was waiting and hoping for, and the result was amazing. It will also keep us competitive with the rest of the world. Our greatest minds must be cherished, and that’s what this wonderful day has brought. We’re going back to all merit-based—and that’s the way it should be!”
The fact that the sitting President of the United States and a major American university openly rejected the Supreme Court’s authority have many concerned that the Left will not give up power if they lose to Trump in 2024.
Adding more to the concern is the fact that Democrats have already started interfering in the 2024 election. Joe Biden’s DOJ arrest of Trump is the second highest step on the Authoritarian Ladder behind refusing to leave office if you lose the election.
