Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal told reporters on Friday that Congressional Democrats will impeach Donald Trump if Trump wins the presidency in 2024 and pardons anyone convicted of J6 charges. At his CNN Town Hall, Trump said that he would look into pardoning some J6ers. Blumenthal and other Senate Democrats have yet to express any outrage at their former Senate colleague, now-Vice President Harris, who helped to bail Antifa and BLM rioters out of jail.
Senator Blumenthal told reporters, “If Donald Trump pardons the January 6th rioters, the insurrectionists who almost destroyed our democracy, I think it’s another grounds for impeachment. I think so violates the American trust by pardoning the January 6th insurrectionists would be itself a betrayal of trust that would warrant an impeachment process.”
Wow, Democrat Senators are already threatening to impeach soon to be President Donald Trump. Censoring and impeaching Trump seems to be the Democrat Party Platform. It’s sad a major American political party has fallen so low.

If Donald Trump is elected president, Congressional Democrats would need to take control of the House to get the necessary votes to start an impeachment inquiry. Last time Trump’s name was on the ballot, House Republicans went 27 for 27 in “toss up” races. Leading many to believe it is unlikely that Congressional Democrats can retake the House in the 2024 midterms.
Interestingly there was no outrage from Senate Democrats when then Senator now Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted, “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota” complete with a link for people to donate.

Recent ABC News/ WAPO polling shows Donald Trump holding a 7-point lead over Joe Biden. Trump’s 7-point lead would likely propel Trump to a historic electoral college victory, with Trump likely receiving over 300 electoral college votes.
Many wonder if Senator Blumenthal’s impeach statement is just another example that shows Democrats understand that Donald Trump is the overall presidential frontrunner in 2024.
