The far-left Daily Kos news blog labeled unvaccinated Americans “domestic terrorists” and called for them to be arrested and put “under house detention wearing ankle monitors” in a recent article published to the site pushing Joe Biden and Democrat lawmakers to institute vaccine mandates and vaccine passport programs.
Accusing unvaccinated Americans of belonging to a “death cult” and of taking part in a GOP-led conspiracy to hurt Biden’s vaccination efforts and “sully the Democratic brand for the 2022 mid-terms,” the article, written by leftist blogger Mark Karlin, blamed GOP lawmakers and Trump voters for the so-called “Delta Variant” COVID strain that Karlin claims will kill millions – contrary to evidence from experts suggesting the “Delta Variant” symptoms are mild and akin to “hay fever” or the common cold – before going on to fantasize about arresting and detaining the unvaccinated, subjecting them to government tracking programs.
“Trumpster elected officials, media celebrities, and dead-end Trumpsters,” Karlin wrote, “would be ideally confined to their homes, forced to wear an ankle monitor until they become vaccinated.”
Despite warnings from some medical and disease experts that mass COVID vaccinations have been behind the uptick in deadly variants of the Chinese-born virus, Karlin and the Daily Kos claim that mass arrests of their political enemies are the only way forward, blaming the “defiant unvaccinated” for somehow spreading the disease to those who purport to be fully vaccinated against it.
“It may be,” Karlin wrote, “the only way to rein in COVID, as we were doing before the defiant unvaccinated started spreading the Delta variant and incubating other variants.” Seeming to completely disregard the Chinese origins of the COVID-19 virus, the Daily Kos article went on to name the unvaccinated, and Trump-voting Republicans, as “domestic terrorists” and compare them going about their daily routines to a biological attack on the United States by a foreign power.
“Those Trumpsters, meaning most Republicans, who stridently argue that their freedom is at stake if they take the vaccine, are selfish narcissists and domestic terrorists,” Karlin wrote for Daily Kos. “That may sound hyperbolic, but if a foreign power were to send agents to the US to spread a deadly contagion, wouldn’t that be an act of domestic terrorism?” Karlin even cited the health of “migrants” in the United States as reason enough to lock away American citizens with whom he politically disagrees.
Though he made no mention of the COVID impacts of the migrant crisis at America’s southern border, where on-the-ground reports say the Biden administration is taking in countless unvaccinated, untested, and unknown third world migrants before resettling them in red states, Karlin wrote that the health safety of migrants comes well before the constitutional freedoms of American citizens before again calling for mass arrests of the unvaccinated.
“This is not an issue of freedom,” wrote Karlin. “It is about the health of our nation and the protection of our citizens and migrants. Those who would willfully expose themselves and spread COVID should be shunned and confined to their homes under monitoring by a public health agency.”
Democrat elected officials, members of the “public health” bureaucracy, and their supporters have stepped up their attacks on unvaccinated Americans and vaccine skeptics in recent weeks, as public support for renewed lockdown-style restrictions and mask mandates has begun to wane. New York City Mayor Bill De Blaise recently announced that the city will force the use of a vaccine passport program upon citizens and businesses alike, forcing New Yorkers to produce proof of their vaccination status before entering restaurants, gyms, and entertainment venues.
As recently reported by National File, the nation of Italy has also created a vaccine passport system that forces punitive COVID restrictions against those who have declined the controversial vaccines, with chaos ensuing after members of the nation’s parliament voted to adopt a domestic vaccine passport program of their own.
