Following reports that Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi, and General Milley all worked to call in the National Guard without consulting President Donald Trump, multiple elected officials throughout the country are falling for Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and forcibly remove him from office.
“I am calling on Vice President Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment and protect our country,” wrote U.S. Rep Sylvia Garcia (R-TX). “Enough is enough.”

The Republican Governor of Vermont also demanded President Trump’s immediate removal.

“The fabric of our democracy and the principles of our republic are under attack by the President,” claimed Gov. Phil Scott. “President Trump should resign or be removed from office by his Cabinet, or by the Congress.”

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, a Democrat, joined the demand for President Trump’s immediate removal.
“Once Congress has fulfilled its duty of certifying the results of the presidential election, it should immediately begin proceedings to remove the President from office. Every day he remains in office is a threat to the republic.”

It remains unclear if Pence acted unilaterally without the President’s permission earlier today.
It also remains unclear whether Trump’s presidency will withstand the night.
