Sixty percent of patients being admitted to United Kingdom hospitals for COVID-19 symptoms have been vaccinated at least twice, U.K. chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Wallace admitted on Monday. Vaccine activists have previously claimed that the unvaccinated would make up the majority of COVID cases after inoculation became widespread.
In terms of the number of people in hospital who’ve been double-vaccinated, we know it’s around 60% of the people being admitted to hospital with COVID,” Wallace admitted. “We do expect there to be over 1,000 people per day being hospitalised with coronavirus because of the increase in infections.” Wallace also said the data was not surprising “because the vaccines are not 100% effective”.
“They’re very, very effective, but not 100%, and as a higher proportion of the population is double-vaccinated, it’s inevitable that those 10% of that very large number remain at risk, and therefore will be amongst the people who both catch the infection and end up in hospital,” Wallace claimed.
The news comes a week after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) claimed “millions” of people have died because of the vaccine:
“Sean Hannity himself said, ‘I believe in vaccinations. I do believe in science. Talk to your doctor,’ he said, ‘you don’t need to talk to people on radio and TV that aren’t doctors,’ which goes to the point of this message,” Durbin said. “There are two host of programs on Fox primetime that can only be characterized as anti-vax quacks. I’m referring, of course, to Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham.”
Durbin continued, “They have been spreading what I consider to be irresponsible information about vaccines across America, and about the effort of this nation to deal with ’em. Here’s the reality: we have millions who’ve died across the world by this vaccine, we may never have an accurate count. We have hundreds of thousands who have died in the United States.”
Big Tech platforms Facebook and Twitter have not deplatformed Durbin for spreading misinformation.
