Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), has become famous for her bullhorn mentality in condemning the many benefits of Capitalism. That’s what makes her overt capitalism all the more stunning in its hypocrisy.
Ocasio-Cortez, the self-described Democratic Socialist has, over the course of her tenure as a Justice Democrat puppet in Congress, told her nearly 11 million Twitter followers to “resist disaster capitalism.”
Just last year, in the ramp up to an election that was supposed to see Progressives riding a blue wave to bigger majorities in the House and control of the Senate, she declared capitalism to be “irredeemable.”
Ocasio-Cortez cost New Yorkers over 40,000 good paying jobs as she aggressively lobbied against Amazon as it sought to build a second headquarters in New York City. That new headquarters would have created nearly $30 billion dollars in new revenue for the state, something that could have helped stop the bleeding caused by the mass exodus due to taxes and COVIC.
So, it is all that much more curious to see that when it comes to Capitalism for herself, well, that’s quite alright.
This week, AOC started selling $58-a-pop shirts adorned with the phrase, “Tax The Rich” on them. The $58 price tag is exclusive of shipping and handling.

A quick trip to her merch website shows that you would have to add an additional $9.22 to ship just one $58 shirt, bringing the total for purchasing the shirt to $67.22. Of course, it would take 1-2 weeks delivery plus 2 business days in transit.
