Independent journalist and geopolitical broadcaster, Alex Jones, was ordered to pay restitution fines to the families of Sandy Hook victims that are in excess of $1 billion, after he was found liable for defamation by a Connecticut court.
“This must be what Hell’s like, they just read out the damages, even though you don’t got the money,” Jones said in response.
The controversial political analyst asserted that the decision was made in an effort to strike fear in people who ask the wrong questions. “They want to scare us away from [questioning] Uvalde or Parkland. We’re not going away. We’re not going to stop,” Jones declared.
Established legal commentator and attorney-at-law, Robert Barnes, was disgusted with the result.
“The circus show trial of Alex Jones ends with a #1 Billion verdict. A complete disgrace to American civil justice,” Barnes stated.
His co-host, fellow legal eagle and attorney, Viva Frei, shared a similar sentiment.
“The Alex Jones trial by default verdict made a mockery of the court. The outlandish verdict made a mockery of the jury,” Frei stated in a tweet on Wednesday.

Jeremy Kauffman, the Libertarian Nominee for Senator of New Hampshire, made some astute comparisons between Jones and other people ordered to pay restitution by a US government court.

Canadian lawyer, Viva Frei, added to the analysis of the comparison.
“Yes, except that OJ [Simpson] was found guilty of the actual deaths of the two victims ‘after a trial,’ whereas Alex Jones was found guilty of making false statements about people who were murdered by somebody else, and ‘without a trial,'” Frei stated.

The rapper and female vocalist, M.I.A., opined on the development with regard to the vaccine development company, Pfizer.
“If Alex Jones pays for lying shouldn’t every celebrity pushing vaccines pay too?” she asked.

The British singer was not the only one to bring up the topic of Pfizer and vaccines.
“Alex Jones has to pay $265 million to people who ‘suffered from the lie that the Sandy Hook mass shooting was a hoax,'” Twitter user Samantha Marika added. “So how much does Pfizer, Moderna, Fauci, and others need to pay to the people who suffered from their lie… a lie that is actually killing people?”
J.D. Vance, the Ohio Republican Nominee for Senate, gave his thoughts on Jones’ credibility.
“Alex Jones is a far more reputable source of information than Rachel Maddow,” Vance said. “One of them is censored by the regime. The other is promoted by it.”

Jones is set to face a third trial that could result in further restitution orders from the court.
