A massive mainstream media company has warned that an Elon Musk takeover of social media platform Twitter could decrease censorship of so-called “harmful content.”
ABC News published an article which suggested a Musk-owned Twitter would increase false content “with ramifications that extend to social issues like election integrity.”
Musk reportedly plans to fire as much as 75% of Twitter’s workforce should he buy out the company.
“Cuts to the content moderation workforce would align with statements made by Musk in recent months about his commitment to the principle of free speech, suggesting that Twitter should permit all speech that stops short of violating the law,” ABC News said.

It seems ABC does not support Musk, who was self-described to be a “free speech absolutist.”
The billionaire entrepreneur explained the reasoning behind his intentions to buy out Twitter in a April press release.
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk began.
“I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”
Conservatives on social media bashed ABC News for lamenting a decrease in Twitter censorship.
“Good, it will be better here without so much censorship, particularly when it comes to Covid and health related issues,” Christina Pushaw, the press secretary for Gov. Ron Desantis (R-FL) commented.
“You’re upset conservatives won’t be silenced & the ONLY content moderation you want allowed is from the right. Cry harder,” another Twitter user added.
In addition to mainstream media attacks on Musk, the billionaire businessman may be investigated by the Biden administration after Musk pushed back on continued government intervention in the Russia/Ukraine conflict because it could lead to a nuclear war.
Ukraine-Russia Peace:
– Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people.
– Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake).
– Water supply to Crimea assured.
– Ukraine remains neutral.

Also worth noting that a possible, albeit unlikely, outcome from this conflict is nuclear war
