Actress Kate Beckinsale said that disgraced Hollywood film mogul Harvey Weinstein became angry at her for not dressing provocatively at a movie premiere shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“I mean, me and John (Cusack) were just like, absolutely not. There’s no universe in which we’re walking down a red carpet in this situation. Like, it’s insane,” Beckinsale said a while back on The Howard Stern Show, referring to the movie premiere for the film Serendipity for Weinstein’s Miramax company. The movie premiered on October 5, 2001, less than a month after 9/11. Beckinsale said she and Cusack had no choice in the matter, and that Weinstein became angry at her because she wore a white suit to the premiere.
Beckinsale said that Weinstein invited her to his house, ostensibly for a play date with his kids. Beckinsale said: “And the minute we got in the door, he said, ‘Okay nannies take the kids off.’ And I thought, what’s happening? And then he just went insane. ‘You f— stupid c–, like, I mean, every horrible thing you can possibly imagine at top volume, like, ‘I f— paid you, If I say go to the red carpet you shake your f— tits and ass and you get down there…’ I was immediately in tears, and shaking…I had been brought in on the pretense of a play date with toddlers, and suddenly I’m like being screamed at that I’m a c—.”
Meanwhile, standup comedian Katt Williams recently said that disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein made a sexual offer to him. In a wide-ranging and highly compelling interview with former football player Shannon Sharpe, Katt Williams made shocking claims about the innerworkings of Hollywood and settled scores with various other celebrities.
“They canceled me for talking about Harvey Weinstein before the thing came out. But he offered to suck my penis in front of all my people at my agency. What am I supposed to do? He did all of that. I’m thinking I’m the only Black person on the script. I get there, it’s three other Black guys on there. Whoo. Huh. I told him ‘no.’ What y’all do?,” Katt Williams claimed.
