Video footage and eyewitness testimony say that Israeli forces slaughtered Israeli civilians while firing on hostages, homes, and even military bases during the October 7th Hamas attacks that set off the ongoing Israel-Hamas War. This information has emerged weeks after it was revealed that the Israeli government ignored intel warnings of an imminent Hamas attack, leading to accusations of a false flag-style stand down.
Multiple eyewitnesses to the October 7th attack, in which Hamas militants slipped through Israeli borders with little to no resistance before raiding an Israeli music festival and several neighborhoods, killing a reported 1,400 while taking over 200 hostages, say that in response, Israeli forces indiscriminately shelled and attacked the region, taking out hostages and fleeing civilians alongside Hamas.
As reported by The Grayzone, which compiled numerous eyewitness accounts of the attacks from across the media, “Israel’s military received orders to shell Israeli homes and even their own bases as they were overwhelmed by Hamas militants on October 7.”
Eye-witness Tuval Escapa, an Israeli security team member at the Kibbutz Be’eri, told Haaretz that “the commanders in the field made difficult decisions – including shelling houses on their occupants in order to eliminate terrorists along with the hostages.”
Yasmin Porat, an Israeli woman who gave an interview to Israel Radio, corroborated Escapa’s story, saying that Israeli special forces “eliminated everyone, including the hostages.”
What’s more, is that another Haaretz report revealed that the Israeli military even ordered an aerial strike on its own base in the Erez Crossing, “in order to repulse the terrorists.” At the time, the base was “filled” with Israeli Civil Administration officers and soldiers.
According to Middle East Monitor:
More evidence comes from witness Danielle Rachiel, who described nearly being killed after escaping from the Hamas attack on the Nova music festival. As she drove to safety, Israeli security forces shot directly at her vehicle until she shouted in Hebrew to identify herself as Israeli.
The Israeli news outlet, Yedioth Aharanoth, is reported saying that “the pilots realised that there was tremendous difficulty in distinguishing within the occupied outposts and settlements who was a terrorist and who was a soldier or civilian … The rate of fire against the thousands of terrorists was tremendous at first and, only at a certain point, did the pilots begin to slow down the attacks and carefully select the targets.”
Meanwhile, footage from inside kibbutzes shows absolute devastation resembling Israel’s repeated bombardment of Gaza over the years. Apache helicopter pilots have admitted to firing continuously without intelligence on targets, while tank crews were ordered to shell homes, regardless of Israeli hostages potentially inside.
In addition to testimony claiming that Israeli forces killed Israeli civilians en masse during the Hamas attacks, previous reports indicate that Israel’s government stood down after receiving intelligence reports that Hamas was planning “something big.”
As National File Reported:
An Egyptian intelligence official says that Egypt forewarned Israel that Hamas was preparing to launch “something big” from their bases in the Gaza Strip, but that Israel ignored the warnings, leading to Hamas executing a historically unprecedented attack and triggering a war that in a matter of only days has led to thousands of deaths and widespread civilian carnage.
The Egyptian intelligence official spoke to the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity, because he was not authorized to share “sensitive intelligence” with the media. According to the Egyptian official, Israel was repeatedly warned that Hamas was planning to launch a major attack from the Gaza Strip, but Netanyahu’s government dismissed the warnings and was instead focused on Hamas’s West Bank operations, where Israeli settlers have been clashing with Palestinians who say the Israeli settlements are a form of expansionism.
“We have warned them an explosion of the situation is coming, and very soon, and it would be big,” the Egyptian intel official told the AP. “But they underestimated such warnings.”
