New GOP Primary Polling released by Morning Consult shows 45th President Donald Trump holding a massive 43-point lead over Ron DeSantis. The same poll also shows DeSantis’ favorability collapsing. This as a newly released General Election Harvard Harris Poll shows Trump beating Biden by 7 points and DeSantis tieing with Biden.
GOP Primary Morning Consult polling shows Ron DeSantis’ favorability has dropped by 7 points while President Trump’s favorability has remained at 78%. Overall, Trump has a massive 43-point lead over DeSantis, with the Morning Consult poll finding that 61% of respondents favor him as the GOP nominee.
In addition to the 61% for Trump, Ron DeSantis is polling at 18%, Mike Pence at 6%, Nikki Haley at 4%, Vivek Ramaswamy at 4%, and Liz Cheney at 2%.
Greg Abbott, Tim Scott, and Asa Hutchinson all polled 1%, while South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem registered at 0%.
DeSantis’ numbers have been quickly dropping after his recent Iowa trip resulted in a disaster.
At his first stop in Iowa, DeSantis saw a crowd of less than 500 people.
Video from the event showed the Governor of Florida wiping his snot-filled hand on a man in a wheelchair.
To make matters worse for DeSantis, Team DeSantis incorrectly blamed Trump’s Iowa rally cancellation on the crowd size. National File recently reported and cited National Weather Service data showing multiple tornados in the Des Monies, Iowa area.

New General Election polling from Harvard Harris shows Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by 7 points. Trump 47%-Biden 40%. Interestingly the same poll shows DeSantis and Biden tieing in a hypercritical general election matchup.
Team DeSantis has been saying that “Trump can’t win the general election.” However, polling data proves this claim false.
Trump reacted to his new polling numbers on TruthSocial, writing, ” I’ve won two Elections, the second far bigger than the first (it was Rigged!), my Endorsement is considered, far and away, the most powerful in political history, I’m blowing away DeSanctimonious in the Polls, and am leading Biden & Harris BIG, whereas DeSanctus is losing to BOTH. I have gotten more people Elected than any other human being. Yet I have to listen to these little lightweights like “Ron” say I can’t win. Like the Dems, it’s just DISINFORMATION. The TRUTH is, they can’t win!!!”
