Republican Nominee for Governor of Arizona, Kari Lake, has continued her near non-stop barrage of challenges aimed at her opponent, current Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat who continues to refuse to allow the voters of The Grand Canyon State to witness a debate between their next possible executive leaders.
Hobbs apparently prefers to tweet about “National Coming Out Day,” rather than showcase her capacity for the role of leader of Arizona.
“Happy #NationalComingOutDay! Please join me in celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, and honoring each person’s journey and bravery to share their stories, identities, and experiences,” Hobbs said on Tuesday.
Lake’s team wasted no time with her word-play response.
“Maybe you should come out and debate Kari Lake,” the Kari Lake War Room Twitter account replied.

Other members among the list of Democrats who refuse to debate opponents prior to the coming November 8th Midterm Election are Josh Shapiro (D-PA), Tim Walz (D-MN), and until very recently, John Fetterman (D-PA).
Hobbs recently dug her heels in even deeper into her foxhole when she was interviewed on Face The Nation on CBS.
“At this point in the race, with 30 days to go, our schedule in terms of forums is pretty much set and I’m really happy with where we are in the plans we have to continue talking directly to the voters of Arizona,” the debate-dodging Hobbs said with a pasty smile on her face.
"Are you saying this morning that there is no circumstance that you can envision, or would even try to negotiate, in which you and @KariLake would appear at a debate together before the election?"

Hobbs was criticized on Sunday for failing to produce an answer as to what she has learned from the Hispanic community in Arizona.

Lake has compared the years-long political office run process as a “job interview,” something which her opponent refuses to do.
“We want to hear what she has to say, but she won’t do it,” Lake said.
“She’s afraid,” Lake added. “She has bankrupt ideas. Dead-end ideas. She has a track record in the Senate that is abysmal. Her voting record is horrible. She voted against a border wall.”
Lake continued to point out the lack of concern on the behalf of Hobbs for border security.
“She voted against funding anything that would secure our border. She voted against a Border Strike Force twice. She even voted against the State of Arizona asking the federal government to reimburse us for some of these costs,” Lake said.
The lack of motivation by Hobbs to prioritize the border is nowhere to be found when it comes to the sexual education of younger children.
“At the same time, she co-sponsored a bill that would introduce sex ed. starting in Kindergarten,” Lake said. “She knows I’m going to call her out on that.”
.@KariLake: "She (@KatieHobbs) won't do the debate. She says, 'I'm not going to debate here because she's a conspiracy theorist.' Well, you know what? If that's what you think of me, then come sit on a debate stage and call me out. But she's AFRAID." pic.twitter.com/TEqygdPaRA

As Lake mentioned, an Arizonan voter ran into Hobbs at a Starbucks in the Copper State in September.

The man asked the secretary of state why she is unwilling to debate her GOP counterpart.
“I’m not going to answer any questions,” was the response given by Hobbs.
“The people are wondering,” the man replied to the incumbent Secretary of State of Arizona.
Hobbs repeated herself: she was not going to answer any questions.
“That was her response to a voter, ‘I’m not answering anything,'” Lake pointed out.
“My philosophy is: I will answer anything you ask me. You ask me a question, I’ll answer it and that’s what it should be. This is a job interview, you are the hiring manager and we are working for you, and I will work every day for you tirelessly.” Lake concluded at a recent public forum.
