Speaking to Securing America’s Frank Gaffney, Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) said that the January 6 protestors “came to petition their government as their first amendment actually states,” but the protest “was co-opted by a group of people, we don’t know who.”
Congressman Paul Gosar said that the January 6 protest was “co-opted by a group” of unknown persons while speaking to Securing America’s Frank Gaffney. “You had a number of people who had questions, and they had rightful questions regarding the validity of the election process,” Congressman Gosar said, adding there was “definitely fraud there” during the 2020 election in Arizona. “[January 6 protestors] came to petition their government as their First Amendment actually states, to petition them to take 10 days to get the results right, do forensic audits, count the ballots, but it was co-opted by a group of people, we don’t know who,” explained Congressman Gosar. “We’ve been petitioning the Department of Justice, the FBI, to release the 14,000 hours of tape,” Congressman Gosar continued. “What are they doing to these people behind closed doors?”

National File has been extensively investigating the presence of undercover federal law enforcement embedded within the crowd on January 6. When National File sat down with Congressman Gosar to ask him if he or any members of the government are looking into the confirmed reports pertaining to undercover federal involvement within the pro-Trump crowd, specifically mentioning the bad actors that appear to have committed unlawful acts near or inside the Capitol building on January 6 in an effort to undermine and sabotage the peaceful rally, the Arizona Representative said “They should.”
“You got one that’s been point and center, you got John Sullivan. You know, for CNN, right there, egging people on,” Gosar said, specifically adding that the Michigan Governor kidnapping case is “proof in the pudding” of undercover federal involvement on 1/6. New videos emerging online appear to show Capitol Police inciting violence on January 6 by shooting flashbangs into what was then a peaceful crowd. The video shows them tear gassing protestors and beating up Trump supporters. The seemingly provocative actions by law enforcement, in those moments, appear to have set off the crowd, who in turn shouted expletives and grew more aggressive in reaction to the flash bangs, tear gas, and beatings, as National File reported.
