The Virginia Beach public school system is using a staff training resource written by a man who called to impeach President Donald Trump and fire Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and insulted America for its supposed “ignorance” about race issues.
Virginia Beach City Public Schools lists Courageous Conversations about Race by Glenn Singleton on its list of “Professional learning topics for staff and adults.”
Glenn Singleton, proprietor of the Pacific Educational Group, has attracted a good deal of controversy over the years as a race-focused education consultant. Now, Singleton’s work could receive added scrutiny in the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s broadside against critical race theory.
“White people are the primary guardians and recipients of racial privilege; therefore they also bear significant responsibility for the perpetuation of racial inequality,” Singleton writes in Courageous Conversations About Race.
