A staggering number of child migrants to the French department of Côte-d’Or turned out to be adults.
The Côte-d’Or department, which contains the city of Dijon, revealed that out of the 523 migrants it received in 2019 who claimed to be underage, only 100 were actually children.
According to Breitbart, President of the departmental council of Côte-d’Or François Sauvadet, along with secretary-general of the prefecture of Côte-d’Or Christophe Marot and Dijon public prosecutor Eric Mathais, an agreement has been reached to subject future child migrants to medical testing in order to ascertain their true age.
“The objective is to identify young people who are involved in child protection under good conditions, and to prevent a person from trying their luck in several departments,” President Sauvadet said.
France has encountered various problems with illegal immigration, costing the taxpayer millions of Euros.
